A New Year, A New… AIM Logo!

A new year, a new… AIM logo!

As we’re starting off AIM’s 5th Lustrum year, it’s time for a fresh, vibrant and more professional AIM identity! Your new AIM Board has been working hard over the summer and we’re super excited to share the new design with you.  We want to continue improving the consistency in AIM’s promotion with this new brand identity,  and we thought AIM’s 5th Lustrum year provided us with the perfect opportunity to change our logo!

Are you curious about the background of the logo? We’re more than happy to tell you about it! Our new logo shows AIM’s connection to both the city of Amsterdam and to the PPLE program. The ‘blank space’ in between the colorful ticks in the logo reveals an X – hinting at the oh-so well-known Amsterdam crosses! ❌❌❌ The four ticks themselves all AIM to the centre and refer to the four disciplines of PPLE: Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics. Finally, the international background of the AIM community is represented by the vibrant colors in the logo. In this way, this new brand identity captures everything AIM stands for!

Our new logo and brand identity were designed by the incredibly talented Elisa Czerwenka. If you want to see more of her amazing work, you can check out her website!

Accompanied by our new logo, we are ready for an amazing year ahead: full of cozy borrels, interesting academic seminars, top-notch parties and awesome trips and events. Don’t forget to buy your membership ASAP and feel free to hop by our Board Room at any point to ask your questions, discuss ideas or just to say hi!

Lots of love,
The AIM Board 18|19

  1. […] During the summer I worked closely with my lovely friends from AIM PPLE, the study association of the PPLE course at the University of Amsterdam. The branding included a logo, event calendars and some templates for their social media. If you would like to read more about the project and see the meaning behind the logo, check out this article by Manon Michelotti on the AIM PPLE website: […]
